After having experienced one of the best burger treats in Delhi, we just rushed into this outlet. Johnny Rockets in Ambiance Mall gets it all correct in this place save for the one thing which is going to mar your fun. More about that later. But better things first.
Location of Johnny Rockets
Johnny Rockets is located on the same floor as the Food Court on the third floor. Ambience Mall though one of the best in Delhi NCR region has a weird access system. Plus there are not adequate directions to reach this place. But once you reach there, park the vehicle in the basement and have fun with family.
About the restaurant
This place is no different than the restaurants you will find in any mall. What separates this place from others is the huge glass windows which give a view of the outside. With so much of glass around including the entrance, the restaurant is nice and bright. Seating is again comfortable, typical of Johnny Rockets. The decor on the huge wall is eye catching. The dining hall is spacious and huge. But you may have to wait for some time during the week ends. A jukebox welcomes you at the entrance. Nice music plays in the background and the volume is pumped up during one of their signature dance jigs which is a treat to watch.
About the menu and the food
The menu is in three parts, drinks menu, all you can eat buffet and the regular menu. The regular burger is served with a side salad or fries or onion rings. Burger options are specific and each is unique. The size of the burger is controversial, but I think the portion is just sufficient. The other menu items like chicken wings or chicken pop rocks are also good. There are salad options too.
Just a word of caution here, the menu is not the standard Johnny Rockets one. Lots of items are missing. There are no combos and the kids menu too is not there. This I think must be because of the buffet options available. Also the size of the shake glass is smaller here.
The food here is exceptionally good. All items are tasty and ingredients are of high quality and fresh. You just have to wait for the food to arrive at the table. Signature Rocket burger and the #12 burger are the star of the menu. We had three burgers, Chicken wings, chicken pop rocks and two shakes. Though we ordered individual items, the buffet option is strongly recommended.
About the service
The service at this outlet is supposed to be similar and consistent across all branches. But this is not Connaught Place and this is not Delhi. The waiters here will behave in a weird manner. Basic service like offering water or tissues is lacking. Simple things like order or asking for bill takes ages. You just have to sit back and watch in amazement at their concept of service. But again when the food is so good, who dosent mind the slight wrinkles.
