SDA market is a common locality in New Delhi. It is opposite IIT, Delhi and part of Hauz Khas enclave. There are lots of restaurants packed in this tiny space. Most of the restaurants are up market. Fat Lulu’s is located within SDA market in one of the inside lanes. Almost correctly marked on Google Maps.

About the restaurant

In a very cramped up space, the huge pizza oven and the preparation tables dominate the space. In the remaining space are three tables. Two are normal seating types and one is the high seating. Which allows a very small dining space, but so be it. No need to beat that down repeatedly. You all have been warned.

On the other hand, when you are seated, it is cool and comfortable. Just about the right ambiance to enjoy a good pizza. They have specially disposable paper plates which look good. The boys are busy cleaning their work tables at regular intervals which is so pleasing to the eyes. Overall a nice place.

About the pizza

The main theme of this restaurant is the pizza. Thin crust and delicious. It is available in three sizes. Though it is thin crust, the toppings are huge and generous. The crust is cooked to perfection and has the right amount of crunch. There is a combo available with the 14″ which is a pizza, garlic bread and soft drink, which is much sought out after by the regulars.

The oven is always ready and preparation is fast and furious. They have the kind of menu that doesn’t take much time to prepare and soon the pizza is on your table. Portion is subjective and one pizza can be a stomach full for two people. Going for the 14″ inch combo ensures a full meal. That is value for money. Fat Lulu’s also have delivery and take away.

A word of caution.

SDA market is not children friendly after nine pm in the evening. The Wine and Beer shop is in full business and consumption of alcohol and tobacco products is in the open.
