Sai Nagar & Tulsi Nagar Ayodhya – Pin Code 224123 will become the most visited address in 2024
Shaheed Marg is a small road moving from east to west joining Kanak Bhawan Road. This road splits the locality in two parts, Tulsi Nagar (towards North) and Sai Nagar (towards South). Together these two localities house the holiest of temples of Ayodhya including the Shree Ramjanmbhumi Temple which will be consecrated on 22 Jan 2024.
Tulsi Nagar – Location and Important landmarks
Locality of Tulsi Nagar begins north with the landmark, Tulsi Udyan. It was earlier known as Victoria Park with a statue of Queen Victoria installed in the center of the park. In 1960 that statue was removed and replaced with the statue of Goswami Tulsidas, the author of Ramcharitmanas. This place also has some important temples too.
Kanak Bhawan
Kanak Bhawan is believed to have housed the Prince of Ayodhya, Ram and his wife Sita. Kaikeyi gifted this palace to Sita immediately after her marriage. It was specially build by the divine architect Vishwakarma on the request of King Dashrath. Such was the grandeur of this palace that when the sun rose, the gold plated walls dazzled and one could see it shining.
Once Ayodhya went into ruins after Ram, this palace too disappeared till King Vikramaditya discovered it along with the rest of the city. There are four pairs of idols installed in the temple room, each with its own story.
Raj Dwar Mandir
Raj Dwar literally translates to the entrance to the palace complex. Ramkot is an elevated platform which housed several structures of different kinds of palaces. The entire city must have been walled with limited entrances. This point would have had been the main door to enter and would have been magnificent in its days of glory.

Sai Nagar – Location and Important landmarks
Sai Nagar is located south of Tulsi Nagar. It is address to the most important landmark of not only India but now the entire world, Shree Ramjanmbhumi Temple Ayodhya. Prior to that there were two of the most important and the most visited temples in Ayodhya.
Shri Hanuman Garhi Mandir
If Raj Dwar Mandir stood guard at the gates of Ayodhya, this place was the official residence of Shri Hanuman. Folklore says that Hanuman Ji lived very modest away from the grandeur and pop of palaces. He also preferred to stay in anonymity. While he was instrumental in most of the epic events of Ramayana, it is so surreal that in the kingdom of Ayodhya is was staying in a small house away at the boundary walls.
This temple has a great history. While the Ramjanmbhumi complex was always in the recent limelight, it was the Hanuman Ghari Temple which was the center of historic conflicts and true test of devotion.
Today hundreds of devotees visit this temple every day. Important festivals, this figure swells to ten fold. Since Shri Hanuman Ji always preferred to remain in the shadow of the great King, it is so befitting that once the Shree Ramjanmbhumi Temple is complete, the number of devotees visiting the Ram Mandir will be far excess of those visiting Hanuman Garhi. But who knows, it might not be that way.
Shree Ramjanmbhumi Temple
Temple is ready for inauguration and the consecration ceremony will be conducted on 22nd January 2024. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been invited for the function. This event will mark the opening of temple for general public too.
